The success of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program depends on the participation of private property owners. The Housing Authority currently works with over 8,000 property owners in the County of Santa Clara who rent to more than 16,000 participant families. The Housing Authority
remains grateful to property owners who continue to rent to Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher participants who are faced with the challenges of finding housing in the volatile rental market of the Silicon Valley.
As a property owner participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, you must comply with certain regulations and procedures established by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority is committed to improving the efficiency of procedures to ensure that participating in the Program is a positive experience for owners.
